- How to repair scratches through sanding and polishing
.Sanding and polishing tools include sandpaper in four grits—800, 1200, 2000, and 3000—along with a wool polishing pad, polishing wax, and a mounting wheel.

.You will need to provide your own electric drill and water.

.First, identify the location of the scratches. It is recommended that you sand down any scratches that are 1.5 mm or less in depth yourself.

.Add water to the scratched area and begin sanding.

.Attach the pulley to the electric drill, fit 800-grit sandpaper, and begin sanding.

.Sand until no scratches are visible, then switch to 1200-grit sandpaper and continue sanding.

.Polish until the 1200 grit sanding marks cannot be seen, change the sandpaper to 2000 grit and continue polishing.

.Sand until the marks from the 2000-grit sandpaper are no longer visible, then switch to 3000-grit sandpaper and continue sanding.

.Sand until the marks are barely visible; then, switch to a polishing wheel and apply wax, ensuring the wax is thoroughly distributed onto the wheel.

.Perform high-speed grinding and polishing until the surface is smooth.
